Thanks to Carol for arriving at Klingers very early in the morning to get sugar cookies, pies, and cakes to send our workers out in style. :) See some of those great Klingers desserts "after the jump".

Before last week I'd never even heard of this guy. Now he's #1 on my hero list. He is Matt Luallen. Google him, you won't be sorry.

Harjit took this photo of us. It was taking so long that I was giving him the "take the (darn) picture al(darn)ready!" look, and of course that's when he took it. ;) I fixed Matt's red eye, but left my own for effect. Matt's leaning over because we were joking about how much taller he is. I'm 5'4", he's 6'2" (he told us on the first day of class).

The kiwi and blueberries are supposed to be butterflies, but Bess points out they look a bit more like angels. :)

Greg Mackinnon's wife Gina made a Mardi Gras king cake from scratch and let the folks at CIT eat it! She's awesome. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo of the entire cake since I was two full minutes late for the event and seven people were already munching on cake when I arrived, but here are photos of what was left, and Mike enjoying a nibble.

Campus alerts

While crafting the W32.Blackmal.E@mm alert it occurred to me that perhaps there should be one communal place for malware and vulnerability alerts, so I made one. You can visit the alerts at www.uvm.edu/cit/antivirus/?Page=alerts.html. Not all alerts are posted to IT-Announce, the CIT news page, or the UVM broadcast listserv, since not all maladies are created equally, but alerts considered critical which I become aware of will go on the alert page. I'd appreciate feedback and design change ideas. (Harjit? :)
