Mardi Gras king cake

Greg Mackinnon's wife Gina made a Mardi Gras king cake from scratch and let the folks at CIT eat it! She's awesome. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo of the entire cake since I was two full minutes late for the event and seven people were already munching on cake when I arrived, but here are photos of what was left, and Mike enjoying a nibble.

eWalk 2004

I know this is old, but I love it. Hope Greenberg actually took our photos and compiled the movie.

Go to Step-by-Step for the back story. Go to the movies folder for other bandwidth sizes.

The movie will play automatically if you click to continue the post.

Roger returns early

Oops, I guess I forgot to announce this on my blog! Roger Bombardier will be returning home from Iraq in March, at which time he will go through proceedings to be discharged from the Army National Guard and become 100% civilian.

Campus alerts

While crafting the W32.Blackmal.E@mm alert it occurred to me that perhaps there should be one communal place for malware and vulnerability alerts, so I made one. You can visit the alerts at www.uvm.edu/cit/antivirus/?Page=alerts.html. Not all alerts are posted to IT-Announce, the CIT news page, or the UVM broadcast listserv, since not all maladies are created equally, but alerts considered critical which I become aware of will go on the alert page. I'd appreciate feedback and design change ideas. (Harjit? :)
