Today was Allie's 8th birthday! We celebrated in style:
- first thing this morning we let her drink from the faucet
- after work we gave her salmon treats
- after dinner we gave her "cake and ice cream" (really sardines)
Here's some pictures of the festivities! Enjoy...

Howdy all, please visit this slideshow for pics of today's wonderful sugar-on-snow event hosted by UVM's Proctor Maple Research Center. Bess, Doug, Frank, Marty, and I toasted Roger B. Bess was today's toast giver. More people had planned to show up for the toast, and did show up later (they had been held up by work and traffic). Those folks are: Mike, Jim, Kent, Jess, Elliott, and Greg.
Bonjour, tout le monde! What a wonderful weekend so far! Beautiful warm weather, which warrants a few outdoor shots. Georgie gets first place just so family and friends can see how much she's grown (or, not grown?) over the winter.

Mike shared a secret with me about my Verizon DSL slowdown issues. If I set my router to static DNS entries 199.45.32.40 and 199.45.32.41 my slowdown issues disappear! And, of course he's right because he's a genius!
More info about the slowdown is here.
Now all we need to do is upgrade to 3 megabit! :)

Today Jim, Tracy, Amelia, Kira, Charlie, Wendy, Jasmine, Ryan, Scott, and Stef met at Mike, Jess, Elliott, and Baby Girl's house to eat a yummy brunch.

There are more pictures, but my camera wigged out. :( As soon as I have access to a compact flash card reader I'll get the rest off it. Promise!

I realize it's my own deadline I'm meeting, but I feel much relieved when the newsletter is finally published *without* errors. Had a little hiccup with the featured Tablet PC article, which I resolved by manually cleaning up the source code in Composer so that I could see my results before republishing -- took 1 hour? Sure, at least that.
